Thinking about adding this machine to my workshop at home but am unfamiliar with the brand. Test drove it last week and was happy with everything I could see. Wonder if anyone ever used "Bolton Tools" bench mills and found it to be a great mill for converting to CNC and holds good tolerances. Thanks for advice. I used a slightly heavier version that was rebranded to optimill I think. It was fine for lighter work but this was by no means a CNC machine. There might be a kit to make it one tho. For the engine work you propose, you need a much bigger machine, especially for milling. Boring cylinders requires a very rigid machine otherwise you'll get chatter. Forget about an 8" face mill.
