I had a Fadal VMC15. It's a light machine approx 5500 lbs. When the riggers brought another machine they accidentally bumped the enclosure of the Fadal and moved it a few inches. I was surprised that there was no damage, not even a scratch. We easily slid it back in place with one fork under the base. A few years later I sold the machine. The machine is up on 4x4 timbers now unpowered and depending on the forklift could be picked up where it sits and backed out a roll up door 15 feet away and loaded on a truck. The delivery at my shop is large parking lot, full width tall roll up door and can drive through and set it where it belongs with no monkey motion - no skates, just set . I agree - machine must go back to producer, and new should be supplied or value reimbursed. Now - the problems. The machine was purchased from local distributor. He was already paid 90% of the deal value. It seems that there is a leak in insurance coverage in the distributor / rigging company junction. I foresee busy lawyers with heavy fees.
