Screw terminals can loosen over time for all sorts of reasons - the ductility of the copper wire, movement when peeps move cables around when in the loft, and even from the AC 'hum' in the cables, I understand. How come my electric junction box randomly stops working? my generator is on, the wires are connected and yellow (powered) yet the junction box has suddenly stopped .Are your foundations in or close to water? Thats the only thing I can think of. Maybe leaving render and coming back fixes it? So i have a generator and its turned on, then i took a cable . Are you sure the wires are connectrd to the geni. Cable will glow yellow when it accepts electricity. Place cable first and snap gen to cable. You need to build you way out from the generator. .
